Dutch Mid-term Exam

Yesterday I was preparing Dutch mid-term exam. It is pretty difficult to master for the grammar requires many rules. As everybody knows, this language uses gender for things and also, the verb forms are different for each subject. This was very special for me after long time I never learn new languages. That is why I tried to study hard and that I had to sleep late at night. I went to bed at 3 a.m. It was not a superb thing because I am accustomed to going to bed late after midnight. I always do this when I am going to have an exam in the next day because studying late at night is more efficient and I can catch all the materials that have ever been taught.
Finally, the time came. It was the time to do the exam as well as possible. I couldn’t wait to see if the questions were the things that I studied last night. I studied all the things actually and I was sure enough that I could do the exam well. I took this class together with one of my classmate, she is my best friend. During the class proceeded for about half of the semester, we made friend with an Australian, his name is Sam. We never tried to make friend with some other friends in class because we were in the different major and we preferred to make friend with Sam, it was ridiculous. Well, both of them seemed getting difficult in learning this language and I tried to help them for the exam. The three of us sat exactly in the front of the lecturer but we worked together to do the questions, it was another ridiculous thing.
Beyond my expectation, the exam was quite difficult because there were some new words that we did not know and we should translate it. How could we translate it if we were not allowed to open dictionary? It was a close-book exam, so no book could be opened during the exam. We decided to guess what it actually meant. Fortunately, we did not really have a big difficulty in doing it. Though the materials I have studied last night were not asked thoroughly, I was quite happy because I could finish the exam without any inconvenience and misery.. 
